What to Expect
What style of worship do you offer?
Serving the Fox Valley for over 180 years, Batavia United Methodist Church offers something for everyone with both traditional and nontraditional services in a relaxed, family friendly environment. You’re invited to explore your relationship with God as we provide a safe place to wrestle with issues of faith and ask questions without being judged.
Is nursery care provided?
Nursery care is available on Sunday mornings for children ages birth through three years old. There is no cost to place your children in the nursery.
How should I dress?
Whether you prefer a suit and tie, polo shirt and khakis, or jeans and t-shirt, come as you are.
What about Sunday school?
There are Sunday school classes for all ages at 10:30am.
Are children welcome in worship?
Children are always welcome and encouraged to attend worship services. However, parents are also welcome to bring their children to the nursery during worship or Sunday school, where they may leave the child in the caring hands of our Safe-Sanctuary trained staff.
What about weekday meetings, small groups, and events?
Meetings and small groups are usually held in Fellowship Hall or a third floor classroom. Please enter the church through our Water Street entrance during the week.
What do United Methodists believe?
